Tina Fey and Amy Poehler host the 70th Annual Golden Globe Awards
The Golden Globes turned out to be one of the funniest programs on television Sunday night, as hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler led the night of laughs with a little help from the audience.
The two comediennes did their best to "keep it loose," as Poehler said, taking light but seriously funny jabs at the celebs both in the room and watching on TV.
"When it comes to torture, I trust the lady who spent three years married to James Cameron," Poehler joked about Kathryn Bigelow in the opening monologue.
"Quentin Tarantino is here," Fey continued. "The star of all of my sexual nightmares."
The laughs kept coming when Kristen Wiig and Will Ferrell presented the award for Best Actress in a Movie - Comedy or Musical, which went to Jennifer Lawrence.
But Tommy Lee Jones stole the show with a very stern look in an audience cutaway, seemingly the only person not enjoying Wiig and Ferrell's shtick.
Vying for the funniest audience cut aways: Glenn Close did a drunken dance, Quentin Tarantino spit out his champagne when his name was called, and Taylor Swift made a face when she lost to Adele.
But the award of the night goes to Poehler and George Clooney's cute canoodle during the announcement of nominees for Best Actress in a TV Series (Comedy), while Fey and Jennifer Lopez huddled together anxiously.
