Actor Matt Damon who's been the butt of a long-running joke on Jimmy Kimmel's ABC talk show, took over the program Thursday night and left a bound and gagged Kimmel to watch a succession of stars stop by.

Matt Damon turned the tables on late night host Jimmy Kimmel Thursday night.

The actor apparently fed up with Kimmel constantly running out of time and bumping him off the show 1,205 times over the past 10 years, so what was Damon's revenge?

He tied the late night host up on his own show, put a tie around his mouth, took over the stage and started interviewing Kimmel's guests on Thursday night's show.

"Welcome to tonight's episode of 'Jimmy Kimmel Sucks,'" Damon addressed the audience. "Just for starters, let me ask you guys this: as an audience, is it weird to see a person with actual talent host this show?"

"I've been waiting for this moment for a long, long time," Damon said. "This is like the time I lost my virginity, except this is going to last way longer than one second."

Sheryl Crow pinch hit for regular band leader Cleto Escobedo III and funnyman Robin Williams even finished the rest of Damon's monologue for him.

Damon replaced Kimmel's security sidekick Fuillermon with his buddy Andy Garcia and Reese Witherspoon dropped in for a cameo, chatting to Garcia outside the studio.

To up the show's A-list quotient, Damon's BFF Ben Affleck popped up holding cue cards for Matt saying Kimmel was funny, smart, good to his family and an excellent lover.

"I'm sorry," yelled Affleck. "Forget it, Matt. I couldn't do it to Jimmy!"

"He doesn't even love you like I love you! You'll see!" Damon screamed as Affleck stormed off.

Damon's first guest in the hot seat was actress Nicole Kidman who told stand-in host Damon, "I would never do Kimmel's show because he f****** sucks," joining her was Gary Oldman and Amy Adams.

The guest list didn't end there: Demi Moore parked her bike outside and joined the crowded studio.

The most shocking guest came last when Kimmel's ex of five years Sarah Silverman took the stage.

"Is there anything you'd like to say to Jimmy?" Damon asked Silverman motioning towards Kimmel. "He's a captive audience."

Silverman looked over at Kimmel and said, "No, I'm good."

But wait, there's more!

The "Bourne Identity" star continued to up the celeb ante by showing footage of Jennifer Lopez, Sally Field, John Krasinski, Robert DeNiro, Don Cheadle and Oprah Winfrey wishing him well on his new late night gig.
