Celebs do some Global swarming

Heidi Klum tries a French dish at the Weinstein Co.’s Golden Globes after-party at Trader Vic’s in Beverly Hills.

The best part of the Golden Globes isn’t the awards show â€" it’s what goes down at the after-parties where the stars are good and sauced. And this year the winner and losers alike brought their couch-dancing, Champagne-swigging best.

After Hollywood’s finest left the Tina Fey- and Amy Poehler-hosted show at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, most braved the Los Angeles cold front and headed to the Weinstein Co.’s bash at the old Trader Vic’s, including Richard Gere, Heidi Klum, Jennifer Lopez and Leonardo DiCaprio and his new man crush, Jonah Hill.

“Richard [Gere] was the first guest to arrive, without his publicist, and he seemed to be very confused and lost. He left shortly after and couldn’t find his car, panicking and calling his agent for help,” an eyewitness tells Confidenti@l.

Heidi Klum fared a bit better. She quickly got into the swing of things as she downed a fatburger and fries â€" still in her skintight white dress â€" then climbed on a couch in the middle of the room to dance in front of everyone. “Julianne Hough was also breaking it down,” says our party insider.

J.Lo ran into exes around every corner last night â€" first sitting near ex-fiancé and big winner Ben Affleck and his wife, Jennifer Garner, during the awards show earlier in the night, then slamming smack into ex-boyfriend Sean “Diddy” Combs at the Weinstein bash as she worked the room with boy-toy Casper Smart. “She and Diddy caught up,” says our spy.

While Robert Pattinson remained isolated in an outdoor cabana area with “tons of security” at the bash, the “Django Unchained” crew, including DiCaprio, Hill, Jamie Foxx, Kerry Washington and director Quentin Tarantino, held down the “power table” and couldn’t be more social.

“They were all sipping Moet & Chandon,” says our guest, adding that DiCaprio and Hill left the bash together to head to the CAA after-party, which DiCaprio was inviting people to.

InStyle’s party in the Oasis Courtyard drew Affleck, Jodie Foster, George Clooney, Jessica Lange, Julianna Margulies, Jessica Alba, Orlando Bloom, Sofia Vergara and Don Cheadle. Newly single Selena Gomez, clearly cured from her case of Bieber fever, danced on a table with Vanessa Hudgens and Bill Murray.

Tom Ford Designs created a fantasy world, using a huge tent constructed over the Beverly Hilton Hotel fountain with an antique gold ceiling and a 20-foot-wide shimmering gold metal chandelier. Godiva created chocolate sculptures spelling “love” on rose petal walls.

CLINTON WARY ON PUBLIC RELATIONS

President Clinton has learned to say no to dessert. A spy at Craig’s restaurant reports that when Clinton, Bryan Glazer, Kate Hudson and Stephen Bing stopped by the eatery in West Hollywood after the Golden Globes, “a blond beautiful girl wearing a body-hugging black dress,” at the table next to theirs, did everything she could to get the former President’s attention, but Number 42 vetoed her attempts. “She bent over and had her aâ€" up in the air to show to Bill,” says our snitch. “She was trying really hard.”
