The tax man is at her heels and club owners now keep a wary eye on poor Lindsay Lohan, but thatâs barely the worst of it.
Confidential has learned sheâs spending her days and most nights back in her teenage bedroom on Long Island.
âFor the past three months that has been her home base,â a source close to the family dishes.
And thatâs just where her mom, who needs her train-wreck daughterâs help to pay the mortgage, wants her.
âDina has been trying to get her to move home for years so she can keep a close eye on her. She didnât want her in L.A. anymore. Not only is she in New York now, sheâs in the next room.â
Lohanâs only money these days seems to be coming from overseas appearances, like the $ 100,000 she collected to party with Bruneiâs Prince Azim in London this past New Yearâs.
That money, another source says, went to her family.
And now, with her latest court appearance in L.A. behind her, it is off to Dubai on an endorsement trip for energy drink Mr. Pink.
But the money is going out as soon as it comes in, keeping Lohan in the familyâs Merrick, L.I., home.
Lohan had been fighting to stay on her own, even trying to work out a deal with Donald Trump for an apartment. But he wouldnât give her a deep discount, so she pulled out.
Last fall Lohan was struggling to pay the $ 8,000 monthly rent on her Beverly Hills pad.
âShe had the lease until February, but Dina said come home.â
That house is the same one that Bravoâs âMillion Dollar Decoratorsâ spent $ 200,000 renovating â" with LiLo refusing to reveal the results on the show.
This week she filed a $ 1.1 million lawsuit against her 6126 clothing label partners over breach of contract.
Now the âLiz and Dickâ star, who also has had her accounts frozen due to $ 233,904 in unpaid taxes, officially has ânowhere to liveâ but home.
âAfter all that time being in the business, making money, she doesnât own a house, a car, furniture, an apartment. She has nothing to her name,â our source says. âItâs quick money here and there and she blows it right away.â
At home, life has regressed to the mother-daughter relationship of Lohanâs childhood, with the duo watching TV together to pass time.
âDinaâs working on a book at home. âA Parent Trappedâ is the working title,â says our source. âShe says itâs about surviving domestic abuse. Sheâs shopping it around now.â
As for Lohan popping up in pictures shopping around New York City, she hasnât yet resorted to the Long Island Rail Road for the commute.âA car service she hires takes her to and from her momâs,â says our insider of the troubled star, who was spotted Wednesday night at a Fashion Week shindig at Cipriani Wall Street.
Lohanâs father, Michael, calls the move âawesomeâ and believes it will help his daughter to be with family.
LiLoâs rep confirms sheâs back living in New York, and denied itâs with her mom â" but wouldnât say why.
JENNERS ARE SOLID, SAYS FRIEND
Amid endless reports that Kris and Bruce Jenner are moving to splitsville, a source close to the couple who just visited them in L.A. tells Confidenti@l their house is very much in order.
âTheir marriage is totally fine,â according to our insider.
âBruce and Kris have an unconventional relationship, but it works for them,â our source continues, explaining, âThey are best friends first, husband and wife second. ... She loves him very much and vice versa.â
Our insider says the familyâs celebrity business has complicated things in recent years, but that âhe keeps her grounded and reminds her of the importance of family. She loves him for that.â
On Tuesday, Radaronline reported that âthe fighting never endsâ and that friends of the Jenners fear divorce is near. The gossip site also quotes a source saying the couple of 22 years have stopped sleeping in the same room. Star magazine recently reported they were headed for a â$ 175 Million Divorce.â
According to our insider, âThe Kris and Bruce Jenner divorce cover story for Star magazine proved to be one of the highest sellers in months, hence they continue to publish false reports. Itâs sad.â
Star magazine didnât return a request for comment.
ANOTHER FORK IN THE ROAD FOR DIAZ
Cameron Diaz isnât just running her mouth about being able to put whatever she wants into it. The workout buff â" who on countless occasions has said she loves to devour steak and fries â" was spotted at the Lion on Sunday with an older mystery man, testing out the new brunch menu and chowing down on fried chicken and Wild Rice Waffles. âItâs nice to see someone in Hollywood actually eats,â says the source, who adds the actress and her lunch date did not appear âoverly flirty.â
SPICE GIRLâS DOG DAYS
Itâs a doggone shame for Baby Spice. After an exhaustive search that began Monday, Spice Girl singer Emma Bunton tweeted Wednesday to say her beloved pooch Phoebe, who went missing during a walk in North London, had been found. But, weâre sorry to say, the Labrador puppy is dead. Bunting wrote to her nearly 900,000 followers: âTo all the amazing people who supported us at this horrible time Our precious Phoebe has been found and its terrible news, we are devastated.â
HANDLE WITH KERR
Miranda Kerr turned heads Down Under when she modeled a floral blue and white Ellery dress and other outfits for a fashion show at David Jones Elizabeth St. store in Sydney.
STYLE TAKES A STERN FOR THE BETTER
The King of All Media has become fashion royalty, thanks to John Varvatos. The urban-chic designer, whose ads feature rock stars like Keith Richards and Gary Clark Jr., says heâs thrilled to be outfitting super-tall âAmericaâs Got Talentâ judge Howard Stern. âHeâs in really good shape, so most things fit him really well,â Varvatos told us at a relaunch party for his eponymous website. Asked if he had clothes that fit short and stout celebs, Varvatos chuckled, âIâm sure we could get them into a pair of shoes.â
REAL FASHION PLATES
Fashion moves fast, but who ever thought it would need a license plate? Visitors at Lincoln Center during Fashion Week will see decorative vanity plates created by nearly 50 fashionistas, including models, designers and front-row types. Rachel Zoe, Anna Sui, Betsey Johnson, Charlotte Ronson and Karlie Kloss have all designed one. The display will hang outside the Mercedes-Benz Star Lounge through Valentineâs Day.
THESE GUYS GO DIRECT
Blockbuster filmmakers Steven Spielberg and George Lucas joined forces in Los Angeles Tuesday, where they horsed around at the dedication of the Sumner M. Redstone Production Building at USC. Spielberg is up for a Best Director Oscar for âLincolnâ on Feb. 24 while last weekend, Lucasâ box-office fighter pilot flop âRed Tailsâ won the NAACP Image Awardâs Best Picture honors. The pair famously first teamed up in 1981 to make the classic action film âRaiders of the Lost Ark.â
SHELL OF A GOOD TIME
New York hotelier Eric Goode hosted the inaugural Turtle Ball at the Bowery Hotel on Tuesday to raise awareness about his favorite endangered animal. Karlie Kloss, Graydon Carter, Gina Gershon, Parker Posey and Jenna Lyons were all there, along with Sandra Bernhard, who emceed the night. A live auction got the high rollers to open their wallets, including Goodeâs partner in the Jane Hotel and Bowery Hotel, Sean MacPherson. His wife, Rachelle Hruska MacPherson, took away the nightâs most prized possession: A 1985 Jean Michel Basquiat drawing of a dragon. She shelled out a whopping $ 52,000 for the art.
ONE HIT CAN'T STOP RICE
Hours after falling off a celebratory parade float in Baltimore only to rise again and shout âLetâs party!,â Ravens running back Ray Rice did just that at SoHo nightclub Greenhouse Tuesday night. Sources tell us the New York native and Rutgers standout entered the club with a handful of buddies, ordered a few bottles of Ciroc and was quickly surrounded by women. âThe crowd cheered him on and the deejay stopped the music so everyone could congratulate him,â said our insider.
A âSMASHâ-ING TIME
Perhaps the cast of âSmashâ has stumbled upon a good-luck tradition. The stars of the struggling NBC series gathered at the Palm restaurant on W. 50th St. Monday to watch the first episode of their second season. âThey had a private room with a television to watch the two-hour premiere,â says a source. The 15-person party included Anjelica Huston, Christian Borle, Katharine McPhee, Raza Jeffrey and Debra Messing. They celebrated the season one premiere the same way last year. Noticeably absent this time was Jennifer Hudson, who doesnât mingle much outside of work.
HIGH LIFE FOR CEE LO
It was a celeb-packed crowd Wednesday night at amfARâs annual black-tie gala at Cipriani Wall Street. Out to support the groupâs efforts to end AIDS were the chairman of the board of amfAR, Kenneth Cole, Gov. Cuomoâs gal pal Sandra Lee, Janet Jackson, Heidi Klum, Woody Allen, Carol Alt, Glenda Bailey, Harry Belafonte, Sarah Jessica Parker, Zac Posen, Chloe Sevigny, Diane von Furstenberg and Mary Alice Stephenson. The crowd was treated to a performance by Cee Lo Green.
STATE-OF-THE-HEART MODELING
Theyâve got bods and theyâre not afraid to use âem! Two of Victoriaâs Secretâs leggy ladies, Candice Swanepoel and Lily Aldridge, got in the Valentineâs Day spirit as the Angels showed off the goods in the lingerie giantâs store in Herald Square Wednesday.
